Archaeologists announced the discovery of the remains of a Viking chief, who was buried with his boat, ax, sword and spear on a remote Scottish peninsula, one of the most important Norse finds ever made in Britain.
In making the announcement Tuesday, said archaeologists also unearthed a circular that was in the center of a shield and a metal piece brass ring. They also found a knife, a sharpening stone were tools, spare Viking pottery. The site is on the Ardnamurchan peninsula on the west coast of Scotland.
