At Glennie House we have a few new projects in the making.  We started our Reminiscence Room, staff, family and friends have kindly donated various items, an old treddle sewing machine, it really works a treat(maybe we could have our own brand of clothing fernand braudel ) They also donated fernand braudel furniture, ornaments, fernand braudel clock, china, crystal, photographs. We must say when looking fernand braudel back at residents photographs  they sure were  Clark Gables and Greta Garbos  in there haydays.    Our room has had a blast from the past it sure looks the part, the residents all love it.  We also have enjoyed taking residents around the local charity shops to purchase a few items after all everyone enjoys a good old rummage.  Residents are all enjoying the get togethers, sing-a-longs, china teas and most important reminiscing we all have enjoyed there tales from the past.
Bridie our activity co-ordinator and a few residents Jessie Simpson, Esther Telfer & Hugh Cunningham thought the room needed 2 small extras(2 new residents) to which the residents have helped make and name (Thomsas & Bella).  They loved making them and were thrilled with the end result.  Thomas & Bella  now both take  pride and place as permanent residents in the reminiscence room.
