A few weeks ago I accepted the challenge to discover and share Canon story of a special place in Romania, in the context of the new campaign Come and see. It's Inn Balaban, Simon village, Bran - an authentic inn built hilltop after a traditional house plans 100 years. With Canon Romania team, I went on the expedition, balsa and the story, the film and photos have been shared our journey here.
How was the experience for us this campaign? We found a great place, I talked to a wonderful man (Mr. Gabi Moja - Administrator Inn Balaban) and worked with the team to achieve a Canon and a film story that can change your perspective on Romania.
The change of perspective contributes sensational stories about people and places in the country discovered by other journalists challenged by Canon campaign - Come and see to tell a story. We refer here to the story of Vlad Petreanu about Flavius Cernescu - man overcome fear, climbing structures are uninsured and disturbing heights; but also to that achieved by Panaitescu about Octagon Entertainment, a place otherwise withdrawn and particularly balsa in Romania. With this new concept implemented globally, Canon and challenges you to discover places you sensational and people with exceptional passion and play them through photographs or film. And in this sense Canon not only provides the tools you need, but also inspiration to capture moments and unique experiences. The campaign was launched officially on December 5 at an event in which visual played a key role in Galateca.
And because I spoke of inspiration, Canon Romania went further by launching local campaign know a story that speaks of special places or people that can tell an interesting story to others. The event on December 5, from Galateca have been designed so the film inspired by the story gladiators in Florence, and two of the films made in the campaign balsa in Romania: the movie from Balaban Inn, where we participated, DESIGNIST; and Vlad's film Petreanu that it has Flavius Cernescu protagonist, Romanian slackliner and fears winner. I was impressed by the film's dynamic Flavius Cernescu literally walking bike on a metal beam abandoned factories, tens of meters from the ground.
Set-up event was a very special one. Canon wanted to mark the transition from space elements detached way of looking at the picture from the outside to understand how involved the photo from within. The white space, immaculate in Galateca entered through a structure photographic, neon, designed like a darkroom.
The idea darkroom, balsa where images are created upside down, was suggested by the set designer furniture and decorative elements (specific room) were hung from the ceiling.
With the launch of the campaign, I stepped outside world discoveries in the world of visual and become partakers of the photographic process itself, to create balsa an image before our eyes. The evening opened with an artistic, Canon first performance in a darkroom, and was composed of a choreography that seems to defy the law ground gravity.
Ground movements have two dancers whose dance symbolizes the discovery of a new world from a different perspective, were projected in real time on the screen. And you perceive the experience as if suspended in space has widened the idea darkroom.
